THE SLEEPERS - RESIDUE
HG: "This record took a long time. There's a ton of music. And it is as close as I have come to doing everything. But, while the guest appearances are few, they are significant: Randy’s soulful guitar on “Dear Miss Mitchell” and Mark’s playful piano on “Soho” come to mind. The lyrics are appropriately introspective and personal. “Jolie” is about my niece, with whom I have a wonderful bond. There’s a letter to Joni Mitchell (“Dear Miss Mitchell”) and a silly little song about being shy (“Cowboy Hat”). This recording also marks the beginning of a long, slow, very positive turn in my personal life, one that continues through today. I'm very proud of this one."
